Welcome
WELCOMING ADDRESS BY THE EDF PRESIDENT
Dear EDF Members
Dear Corporate supporting Members
Dear Guests
On behalf of the EDF Board, I am excited to extend a warm welcome to the 30th EDF Annual Meeting. We eagerly anticipate spending three enriching days in an inviting and collaborative atmosphere focused on advancing education, fostering scientific exchange, and enhancing cooperation.
This annual gathering, which takes place each January in Switzerland, is a premier platform for discussing the most pressing issues in dermato-venereology, spanning clinical, scientific, and political domains. In January 2027, we will once again meet in Montreux, a charming spa town nestled between steep hills along the picturesque shores of Lake Geneva. Known for its mild microclimate, the town also hosts the renowned Montreux Jazz Festival each July. The elegant Belle Époque buildings line the waterfront, surrounded by sculptures and Mediterranean foliage. The medieval Chillon Castle, perched on an island in the lake, adds to the region's historic allure with its ramparts, reception halls, and 14th-century murals.
In 2027, the EDF Annual Meeting will return to the Grand Hotel Suisse Majestic, a splendid 4-star hotel built in the Belle Époque style, located at the heart of Montreux directly along the shores of Lake Geneva. During the main meeting, we will explore and deliberate on a wide range of contemporary topics in dermatology and venereology. The EDF Board has curated an exceptional program, which will feature plenary talks, interactive sessions, and updates from our commission groups and sister societies. Throughout, we will ensure a focus on diversity, gender balance, and geographical representation.
We look forward to welcoming you to the 30th EDF Annual Meeting in Montreux in person.
