IMPORTANT INFORMATION – Cancellation EDF Annual Meeting Lucerne January 2021

For many weeks the EDF board has carefully monitored the development of the Corona-pandemic and feels that organizing the meeting in Switzerland next year in these uncertain times is too much of a risk for all participants. Especially the recent rise in numbers of cases affected by Corona all over Europe, combined with the upcoming Winter season (and many more related infections) convinced us not to insist on having a meeting in January. Therefore the EDF Board of Directors has decided to cancel the Annual Meeting in 2021 in Lucerne/Switzerland.

As the board felt that this meeting could not be handled as a virtual meeting and as we cannot predict the development of the pandemic next year, cancellation felt inevitable.

The EDF will, however, organize a digital General Assembly on Thursday, January 21, 2021 to fulfil our obligations as a society. Additional information will be communicated in due time.

We are now all looking forward to our meeting in 2022 in Montreux. The board already started to work on the scientific program and we look forward to see you all there in good spirits!

Stay in good health and keep connected!

About EDF Annual Meeting

The European Dermatology Forum (EDF) is a non-profit professional organization dedicated to improving the skin health of people in Europe. The EDF is now more than 20 years old, having been founded in 1997 by a group of leading European Professors of Dermatology.

The EDF mission is to implement actions aimed at preventing skin disease and improving the quality of health care for dermatological and venereological patients in Europe, notably by strengthening the position and reducing the health economic impact of dermato-venereology and its several subspecialties, such as allergology and dermato-oncology, to the benefit of our patients and our profession.

Every year, the EDF organizes a 2-day Annual General Meeting in January with a rich scientific program including plenary lectures, thematic symposia, industry symposia, EDF working group meetings and reports, as well as updates from several European Sister Societies.

The annual meeting of the EDF is attended by over 150 delegates including EDF members, Corporate members and guests. The fascinating scientific program and ideal platform for constructive networking make it a highlight for key opinion leaders in dermatovenereology across Europe.
